Abstract

The process of submitting official travel letters at SMKN 6 Surabaya was previously still done manually, so it was prone to writing errors, calculation errors, and no digital archiving. This encourages the need for a digital solution that can increase the efficiency of the process. This study aims to design and build a website based official travel letter system using the Extreme Programming (XP) software development method that emphasizes collaboration with users and rapid iteration in development. In developing this system, the Laravel programming tool is used as the main framework that supports the development of web-based applications efficiently and structured. This system is designed with multi-role features, online approval, and digital archiving that can replace manual processes. Testing was carried out using the Black Box method to ensure that the functionality runs as expected, as well as User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to evaluate aspects of design, ease, and efficiency from the user's perspective. Based on the UAT results, the average user satisfaction level was above 80%, indicating that the system was well received and supported the official travel administration process at SMKN 6 Surabaya.
