Abstract

Protection of victims of sexual violence is something that must be fulfilled by a country, in its regulation, namely Law No. 12 of 2022. KBGO is recognized as one of the information technology-based violence. And victims of this violence must have their rights fulfilled by the institutions regulated in the Law. The author in this case wants to examine services related to UPTD PPA for the protection of victims of online gender-based sexual violence, and provide an optimization of the obstacles faced by UPTD PPA. The author uses the juridical-empirical method, which examines the rules implemented in real life. With two materials, namely interviews and literature studies. UPTD PPA in providing services is carried out through two things, namely direct and indirect complaints. The author finds that the protection of this institution in the type of KBGO is protection in shelter, legal assistance, counseling guidance, and physical and psychological recovery. The services provided by this institution are in accordance with Law No. 12 of 2022 which regulates the duties and authorities of UPTD PPA. In addition, there are obstacles in this institution in protecting victims of KBGO, and the author provides an optimization in the application of services so that UPTD can provide maximum protection.
