Abstract
Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) are an important solution in reducing emissions and dependence on unrenewable energy, but in Indonesia, the lack of clear regulations hinders the development of this industry. This research aims to analyse German regulations that have successfully integrated KBLBB technology into their transport policy. Through this analysis, key elements that Indonesia needs to adopt to create a legal framework that supports innovation and investment in the KBLBB sector are identified. The results show that the establishment of specific laws is crucial to encourage the widespread use of KBLBB, improve supporting infrastructure such as charging stations, and ensure environmental protection. Using a comparative law study with Germany as one of the largest producers of KBLBB in the world, makes this research different from previous studies, where Germany's own clear policies and financial incentives have proven effective in increasing the adoption of electric vehicles and creating an extensive network of charging infrastructure. In addition, this study recommends collaboration between government, industry and society to involve an ecosystem that created the inovation for the progress of KBLBB in Indonesia, so that it can effectively contribute to sustainability and climate change mitigation goals.
