Abstract
ABSTRACT The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is affecting the world of work in the world. According to the data, some jobs will disappear and new roles will emerge that require a different set of skills. Generation Z is the generation that will dominate the labor market and will face obstacles, opportunities, and challenges in adapting to the changing world of work today. The high unemployment rate among Gen Z is often due to a lack of experience and a mismatch of skills with industry needs. Therefore, education about reskilling and upskilling strategies is a solution as a form of adaptation to face the development of AI technology. This design uses the Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). This research combines mixed-method methods with primary data collection through questionnaires and interviews and secondary data from various literatures. The design process is based on analyzing the needs, characteristics of the target audience, and media preferences that are most relevant to Gen Z. Thus, motion graphics are a relevant choice as an interactive and engaging educational visual media. The analysis shows that the majority of respondents have a high awareness of the potential of AI to change the world of work, but there is still a sense of concern about the implications for future careers. They also feel that developing new skills is an urgency, but there is still confusion over what actions to take. Therefore, this design uses motion graphics as a visual education media to Gen Z about how reskilling and upskilling can be a solution in adapting to technological developments in the world of work. The design of this educational motion graphic is expected to increase Gen Z's readiness in facing changes in the world of work. This motion graphic is designed not only as an educational media, but also as a means to motivate and guide the younger generation to have an adaptive, proactive attitude, and have a growth mindset in facing technological developments.
