Abstract

The sodium silicate plant, which will produce sodium silicate from sodium hydroxide and sand using a wet process with a capacity of 45,000 tons per year, is planned to be established in Tuban, East Java, specifically in the Tuban Industrial Area (KIT). In the paper industry, sodium silicate is used as an adhesive and additive for coating. Additionally, sodium silicate can also be utilized in water treatment as a flocculating agent. The plant is set to operate for 330 days a year.
