Abstract

In the digital industrial era, consumer behavior is influenced by technological advancements and information systems. As human life evolves, technology plays a significant role. The rapid growth of information technology in various fields also facilitates global human connections. Lazada, an e-commerce platform, exemplifies technology simplifying online shopping. This study aims to investigate the impact of free shipping and cash on delivery (COD) on purchasing decisions among Lazada e-commerce users in Surabaya. Employing a quantitative approach, the research population consists of Lazada users, with a sample focusing on Surabaya-based users. Non-probability sampling with purposive sampling techniques was applied. Data collection utilized questionnaires with 130 respondents aged 17-35. SmartPLS 3.0 analyzed the data. Findings that free shipping positively influences purchasing decisions, COD significantly impacts purchasing decisions, and the combination of free shipping and COD positively affects purchasing decisions.
