Abstract

Along with the development of the times, the trend of tourism travel motivation began to change, tourists began to want a tourist trip with new experiences and could add new understanding and insight when visiting tourist attractions. Educational tourism is an alternative for tourists who want a tour with a focus on tourist activities combined with educational education about culture, history, science and other general knowledge. Villages have abundant natural resources and local wisdom. The village has the potential to become an educational tourism area with all its natural wealth and local culture and wisdom has the potential to become an educational tourism area. This research discusses the potential of educational tourism in the region with a research focus on Tegaren Village. Tegaren Village is a tourist village that is rich in natural and biological diversity and there are several local community MSMEs. This research discusses the potential of educational tourism in Tegaren Village and assesses the 8 principles of educational tourism in Tegaren Village and classifies the types of educational tourism in Tegaren Village. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative method using the research approach of observation, interviews and literature studies. To get the potential of educational tourism in Tegaren Village, the author conducted a thorough observation of the Tegaren Village area and visited MSMEs. Through this research, there are several new tourism potentials that can be utilized into an educational tourism attraction and there are several principles of educational tourism that have not been carried out by Tegaren Village.
