Abstract
The rapidly developing digital era, triggered by COVID-19, has changed the way people earn income. Therefore, M-Knows Consulting seeks to make a change by creating a website-based freelance system that provides a medium or place for Indonesian freelancers to work. This system will be complex and have many interactions by many people, so it is necessary to develop a more modular system so that the development process becomes more efficient, especially to overcome the complexity of the project. From this, a system is needed that has a microservice architecture rather than using a monolithic architecture. The design of a microservice architecture has several steps in its development, one of which is by implementing the DDD (Domain Driven-Design) paradigm with the principle of bounded context that separates several business domains while implementing multiple databases. In addition, the deployment process will use Kubernetes as a tool to manage workloads for each microservice and the required instance. The development of a website-based freelance system can be more efficient and is immediately ready to provide a platform for freelancers in Indonesia.
