Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of financial planning on financial resilience, considering financial literacy and financial difficulties as moderating variables. The respondents of the study consist of teachers with online loans in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. This research employs a cross-sectional survey design, with data collected through questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using the SmartPLS application to test the relationships between variables. The results of the study indicate that financial planning has a significant effect on financial resilience. This confirms that teachers who actively engage in financial planning can manage their income and expenses better and are more prepared to face financial shocks. Although financial literacy has a direct impact on financial resilience, this study finds that financial literacy does not moderate the relationship between financial planning and financial resilience. On the other hand, financial difficulties do moderate this relationship, where the impact of financial planning on financial resilience becomes stronger under high financial stress conditions. These findings have practical implications for teachers with online loans, emphasizing the importance of structured financial planning and improving financial literacy through training and education. Additionally, additional support in the form of professional financial advice and psychological support is recommended to help manage financial stress. This study has several limitations, including the cross-sectional survey design and the use of a sample limited to teachers in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. Future studies are suggested to use longitudinal designs and more diverse samples to improve the generalizability of the results. Overall, this study provides important insights into the dynamics of financial planning, financial literacy, and financial resilience, and offers practical guidance to enhance the financial well-being of teachers. Keywords: Financial Planning; Financial Resilience; Financial Literacy; Financial Disstress; Online Loans.
