Abstract

Transportation infrastructure is the most important element in supporting a country's progress, one of which is roads. The use of filler has a significant influence on the quality of asphalt concrete pavement. In this research, Paciran limestone ash was used as an alternative filler. Apart from improving the quality of road pavement, using limestone ash as a filler can also optimize the management of local natural resources in the Lamongan Regency. This research uses the Marshall testing method specified in the 2018 General Specifications for Highways, Revision 2. Calculating variations in the planned asphalt content using the theoretical method produces asphalt variations of 5.42%, 6.42%, and 7.42%. Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) from Marshall test parameters is 7.03%. Based on the Marshall test parameters, the Optimum Filler Content in this study was 1.17%. From the Polynomial Trend Line formula for each Marshall parameter, the Optimum Filler Content is 1.17%, the values ​​obtained are VIM 3.49%, VMA 18.62%, VFA 81.32%, Stability 2189.52 kg, Flow 3.87 mm, and MQ 569.47 mm/kg. There was an increase and decrease due to the addition of Paciran limestone ash filler, the VIM and VMA values ​​decreased by 23.69% and 4.69%. The VFA, Stability, Flow, and MQ values ​​increased by 6.17%, 4.70%, 1.49%, and 1.67%. Overall, the addition of Paciran limestone ash filler as a mixture for the AC-BC asphalt concrete layer has met the requirements of the 2018 General Bina Marga Specifications.
