Abstract
Cak Ning is a tourism ambassador event in Surabaya that has been held since 1981. Cak and Ning have their main duties as the tourism ambassador of Surabaya City. Not only paying attention to appearances, Cak and Ning must also have in-depth knowledge, good behavior, and can be an example for the community. However, often people also show a negative response for these tourist ambassadors. The purpose of this study is to find out and describe how the Instagram management strategy of tourism ambassador Cak Ning @cakningsby is to build an image among the people of Surabaya. This study used qualitative research methods and descriptive approaches and analysis of SOME theory until the results were obtained that Cak Ning Surabaya tried to build a positive image in the community through Instagram by performing and paying attention to several aspects of managing Instagram accounts and activities.
