Abstract
The news about the persecution of civilians by the TNI in Central Papua has made the news widely reported by online media and has attracted a lot of public attention in Indonesia. This news has led to the emergence of various perspectives and various pros and cons in the public sphere towards the persecution committed by the TNI against civilians in Central Papua, so that many online media have told this event from various sides and points of view. This study aims to analyze the framing model of Robert N. Entman in the news of the persecution of civilians by the TNI in Central Papua on online media Kompas.com and CNNIndonesia.com for the period 22-26 March 2024. This research uses a qualitative method with the Robert N. Entman model of framing analysis. Robert N. Entman's framing analysis model uses analysis based on four elements, namely define problem, diagnose causes, make moral judgment and treatment recommendation. The results of this study state that the framing formed and created by Kompas.com online media tends to highlight and emphasize the perspective of institutions or organizations engaged in human rights and the framing formed and created by Kompas.com online media tends to highlight and emphasize the perspective of the TNI.
