Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes. Not optimal purchasing of raw materials results in high storage costs. This research aims to determine the optimal amount of raw material inventory and minimize total inventory costs. Based on the research results, the Multi-Item EOQ method obtains optimal order quantity, purchase frequency, ordering costs and optimal holding costs. This can be seen in optimal conditions at PT. XYZ because it can reduce the frequency of purchases and excessive holding costs. With the optimal order quantity for each raw material, it is 3 rolls of 125 GSM kraft liner paper, 3 rolls of 150 GSM kraft liner paper, 3 rolls of 200 GSM kraft liner paper, and 4 rolls of 150 GSM medium paper. Using the Multi-Item EOQ method, the total minimum inventory cost is IDR. 5,660,986,709,-.
