Abstract
Reverse logistics is the process of organizing, implementing and managing the movement of finished goods, work-in-process inventory, raw materials and related information economically and efficiently from the point of origin to the point of consumption. The problem that occurs in the medical equipment industry represented by PT Kasa Husada Wira Jatim is that there is a buildup of rejected returned gauze products which can cause warehouse storage costs to increase. This is because the product cannot be reused. However, if used properly, there are still some products that can be reused and can minimize reverse logistics costs for the product. In this research, all reverse logistics cost components will be calculated using the VMI method with the aim of finding out the Total Reverse Logistics Cost of all gauze product returns at PT Kasa Husada Wira Jatim for the 2022-2023 period. The results show that the TRLC obtained was IDR 148,556,914 and 79% of the total costs came from holding costs. The limitation of this research is that the company has not implemented proper management of returned products such as recovery activities. Of course, if this can be implemented, the company can reduce reverse logistics costs and increase company revenue.
