Abstract
In today's era, many organizations develop software to help their business processes, but organizations need to pay attention to the software development process to increase the value of SI/IT in achieving the goals of the organization. Because one of the factors for software development failure is the management of the development process that is not ideal. PT. PQR is a company that implements a software development process to support its business processes, but experiences implementation constraints, so evaluation is needed as a starting point to determine the value of development using CMMI. CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a framework that provides customization to overcome barriers between the business and the development process. This is because CMMI contains best practices that handle activities applied to the software development process. The implementation of CMMI is expected to improve the development process to be ideal and improve the quality of software that supports business processes. Evaluation using CMMI is carried out through a comprehensive assessment of maturity level based on its performance. Evaluation using the CMMI guide obtained the results of the maturity level of PT. PQR is at level 2, with practice results that have been achieved by 82%, namely 109 out of 131 practices. Improvements are needed to achieve a higher level of maturity. Improvement recommendations include the implementation of practices that have not been achieved by referring to the CMMI guidelines and related CMMI implementation books, so that the expected goals can be achieved.
