Abstract

Technological developments create progress in diplomacy, namely digital diplomacy. China is taking advantage of digital diplomacy in the Covid-19 era. Because Covid-19 has caused China's image to worsen. Apart from that, the restrictions on activities mean that China must carry out digital diplomacy to maintain communication. This communication is needed to maintain China's bilateral relations with other countries. Therefore, communication is needed in each country to reach equal conditions so that China strives to be heard and accepted by other countries. The aim of this research is to describe China's efforts in the Covid-19 era through digital diplomacy. This research was analyzed using a descriptive-qualitative research method through the use of secondary data as supporting primary information, where this data can be obtained from many sources, namely literature, library materials, previous research, databases, books, etc. using a public diplomacy framework, digital diplomacy and 6 instruments according to Hanson in 2012, namely, knowledge and information management, public diplomacy, communication and consular response, disaster response, internet freedom and policy planning.
