Abstract
This research aims to determine the hierarchy of influence on the editorial policy of Liputan 6 SCTV Surabaya Bureau in post-2024 election reporting. The research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis to systematically, factually, and accurately describe the factors, nature, and relationships between the phenomena studied. The theory of hierarchy of influence on editorial policy includes the levels of individual media workers, media routines, organization, external media, and ideology. The results of the study show that individual factors and media routines are the most influential in the editorial process of Liputan 6 Surabaya. Individual factors are influenced by the background, experience, and preferences of journalists. Media routines involve daily standard procedures. At the organizational level, the managerial sector does not intervene in the reporting. Similarly, at the extra-media level, the focus is more on regulations that must be adhered to in presenting post-election news content. At the ideological level, Liputan 6 Surabaya's main orientation is business and neutrality, aiming to present factual information and variety in news delivery. Keywords: Editorial policy, Influence hierarchy, Liputan 6 Surabaya, Post-election reporting.
