Abstract

This study aims to explain Swisscontact's efforts through the STED program in Lombok from 2018 to 2022. Previous studies have explained that there is cooperation between Indonesia and Switzerland in the form of assistance that is implemented in various efforts to various parties, one of which is to realize the concept of sustainable tourism. This paper seeks to explain how the efforts made by Swisscontact in running the STED program in Lombok to realize the concept of sustainable tourism through two activisms. The two activisms are advising and consulting activism and collaboration activism. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with primary data sources obtained through interviews and secondary data sources obtained through literature such as journals, books, or other data sources that can be found on the internet. The results of the research found efforts by Swisscontact - STED through discussions and strategy recommendations as well as cooperation with government and private groups. In the context of sustainable tourism, the author found three main characteristics used by Swisscontact in realizing sustainable tourism in Lombok. These characteristics include quality, continuity, and balance.
