Abstract

Indonesia can be classified as an industrial country based on its economic proportions. There are many industrial sectors that are developing rapidly, one of which is the publishing industry. One of them is CV Pustaka Cemerlang, a publisher operating in the field of children's books using Islamic concepts. The existence of this publisher is not yet known to most of the people of Java Island. The lack of optimal visual identity design is also one of the factors that causes low public awareness of the existence of this publisher. Based on the obstacles faced by the researcher, the researcher prepared this design with the title "Rebranding Design for CV Pustaka Cemerlang Book Publishers to Increase Brand Awareness". The method used in making this design is a qualitative description method with three stages, namely the interview stage, the observation stage in the field, and the stage of distributing questionnaires to the public. After obtaining the necessary data, the research results will be analyzed using descriptive analysis and TOWS methods. Descriptive analysis is used to explain the important points found. The identified key points are then reprocessed using the TOWS method to evaluate the threats, opportunities, weaknesses and strengths of this publisher. After completing the analysis process, produce a design concept with the keyword "Islamic Children's Books" which has its own characteristics for the products it produces. Next, create a tagline in language that is understood and remembered by the public. This brand awareness was initiated as a communication tool to develop the brand image of this children's book publisher so that it is better known by the general public, especially by parents and other educational actors involved in the world of children. In preparing this plan, the author realized that there were a number of errors that needed to be corrected. Therefore, with the consistent implementation of CV Pustaka Cemerlang rebranding, it is hoped that it can form a strong brand image in the minds of the public and ultimately increase awareness of the brand.
