Abstract
In today's world, one of the most pressing areas of education is sex education, also known as sexual education. The urgency of sexual education is increasingly evident due to the many instances of deviant behavior that occur. There are four age phases for sexual education: ages 3-5, 6-9, 9-12, and 12-14. For children aged 9-12, more detailed information is provided, including how to respond to the changes their bodies will undergo during puberty, as they experience both physical and psychological changes. This knowledge aims to protect them from sexual crimes by helping them understand the changes they will face. Motion graphics are chosen as the medium because they are effective and engaging for children in this age group, who are particularly attracted to dynamic media. This project uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques including focus group discussions (FGD) and interviews with experts. The analysis technique employs the fishbone diagram and the 5W+1H method, with the key phrase identified as "captivating puberty education as a self-shield." The motion graphic concept will cover topics on puberty and self-protection through a narrative and storytelling approach to keep children engaged. Illustrations will be based on the key phrase "captivating" and tailored to the children's age range. This project aims to educate children so they can build a self-shield and be prepared for the changes they will experience.
