Abstract
Infrastructure development is the main foundation for Indonesia in the 2023 APBN which is balanced with economic growth. This is proven by the consumptive lifestyle of Indonesian people as the 17th most consumptive country in the world according to the World Bank and the increase in the number of shopping center developments in various big cities in the last 3 years. Cilacap is the largest administrative region with the 2nd highest economic level in Central Java Province, plus its population is relatively dense with the dominance of industrial sector workers. The various regional potentials and the high number of workers in the industrial sector should be given special attention to the provision of infrastructure in the form of commercial entertainment facilities, especially shopping centers. However, until now Cilacap City does not have a Shopping Center facility that can accommodate all community activities ranging from retail activities to entertainment to relieve fatigue due to a high work lifestyle. AquaBay Shopping Center in Cilacap City is a facility that functions as a forum to facilitate and accommodate the retail entertainment activities of the community. This facility will be designed with a Biophilic Architecture approach which is able to harmonize the user's physical and psychological well-being with nature in a building. Biophilic Architecture elements function as a stress relief medium by using natural elements in the building. This Shopping Center facility is intended to accommodate the needs of the community which is not only complete, but can be a business opportunity and new attraction in Cilacap City. AquaBay Shopping Center in Cilacap City was designed with the theme 'Shopping Festival with Nature' which applies the principles of Biophilic Architectural elements with the results of analysis and site potential into the mass, shape, appearance and other building elements to achieve positive relationships between humans, buildings and natural surroundings.
