Abstract
The World Cup is an international soccer competition held every four years. Where every country that is a member of the FIFA organization must prepare their country to be able to contribute to hosting the World Cup event. Indonesia has the opportunity to host the 2023 U-17 World Cup. This international competition is also an opportunity for Indonesia to show its public diplomacy. In showing this opportunity, Indonesia made several public diplomacy efforts to show the international public that there were policies, cultural diversity, and information dissemination carried out for the implementation of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 international sports competition. In this research, the author analyzes Indonesia's public diplomacy efforts through the organization of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 international sports competition. The author uses international relations theory, namely public diplomacy efforts with descriptive qualitative method research. The results of this research show that efforts through advocacy, cultural diplomacy, and international broadcasts made by the Indonesian government and FIFA as the organizer. The 2023 U-17 World Cup is not just a match. It is the purpose of utilizing this platform to promote a good image of Indonesia, introduce local culture, and build a good relationship with the global community.
