Abstract

This study was conducted to identify and examine the influence of liquidity ratios, activity, and leverage on profitability ratios with firm size as a moderation variable in transportation enterprises registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. by using purposive sampling technique found about 20 companies that include the benchmarks in sample. The data analysis methods in this research include descriptive testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using the simple regression method and the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) test. The final result of this research explains that the liquidity and leverage ratios have a positive significant effect on profitability, but the activity ratio has no significant and negative effect on profitability. Meanwhile firm size can control the impact of liquidity and leverage on profitability, firm size cannot control the impact of operations on the profitability of shipping enterprises registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Good capital management is needed to regulate the level of borrowing on the business assets and capital in order to reduce expenses and maximize profit or profitability Keywords: Liquidity, Activity, Leverage, Profitability, Firm Size
