Abstract
ABSTRACT Along with the times, more and more social problems occur, some of which are poverty, unemployment, low education and so on. From these social problems, it can cause new problems, one of which is the phenomenon of street children. Based on article 55 paragraph (1) of Law 35/2014 where the maintenance, care, and social rehabilitation of street and abandoned children must be carried out by the central government and local governments, both within the institution (through the system of government institutions and private institutions) and outside the institution (the system of government institutions and private institutions). family/individual care). According to the Directorate of Child, Family and Elderly Welfare, the Ministry of Social Affairs said that street children are children aged 6-18 years who roam the streets doing various activities such as singing, begging and so on to earn money. Street children roaming and living on the streets for a long time with a slum and free street environment will greatly affect their physical, mental and social development. Based on this background, the problem of street children can be overcome by building a Center for Street Children Development. The Center for Street Children Development in Probolinggo Regency is a building that accommodates coaching, education and skills training for street children. This coaching center is equipped with residential facilities so that street children can stay here as long as they are in the coaching period. With this building, it is hoped that it will become a forum to support the process of fostering street children so that it is hoped that after leaving this facility they will become better and have expertise in a field. The approach used in this project is the Behavioral Architecture approach. This approach describes the relationship between human behavior and the environment through architectural design. Keywords: Development Center, Street Children, Probolinggo Regency
