Abstract

Employee performance is an important factor in achieving organizational goals. This study aims to analyze the effects of workload, compensation, and work environment on employee performance with employee loyalty as an intervening variable at PT Step Forward Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using a total sampling technique involving 72 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that workload has a negative and significant effect on employee loyalty and performance, while compensation and work environment have positive and significant effects on employee loyalty and performance. Employee loyalty also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and mediates the relationship between workload, compensation, work environment, and employee performance. The R-Square values of 0.608 for employee loyalty and 0.642 for employee performance indicate that the proposed model has good explanatory power. Therefore, employee performance can be improved through balanced workload management, fair compensation, a supportive work environment, and increased employee loyalty.
