Abstract
The development of digital marketing requires companies to have efficient and integrated promotional systems. PT Bizhub Digital Indonesia previously relied on third-party affiliate platforms for its promotional activities. This dependency increased operational costs and limited the company's flexibility in optimally managing partners and marketing strategies. The absence of a centralized platform also caused difficulties in tracking partner contributions and calculating commissions. Therefore, this research aims to design and develop a backend service for a digital product e-commerce system with independent affiliate features. The main objectives include the implementation of a secure authentication system, the automation of the shopping process, as well as the integration of a payment gateway and commission tracking to ensure that all operations run efficiently, transparently, and are well-controlled. The development of this system is focused on designing a REST API-based backend architecture using Hono.js, TypeScript, and Bun. The implementation stages began with a requirements analysis based on the company's business workflow, followed by designing the database architecture through a Physical Data Model (PDM) resulting in 16 interrelated tables. The implementation includes the creation of 12 functional API modules, including the integration of Xendit services for automated payments and the disbursement of affiliate commission funds. System security is also strictly maintained using JSON Web Tokens (JWT). Functional testing of the system was subsequently conducted using the Black-Box Testing method on 54 API endpoints. The result of this research is a solid, secure, and fully functional backend infrastructure for an e-commerce and affiliate system that meets the company's operational needs. The Black-Box Testing demonstrated a considerably high functional success rate, proving that the system is ready to overcome control limitations through a centralized independent platform. For further development, it is recommended that the company expand the database to support the sale of physical products, integrate the system with expedition service APIs for real-time shipping tracking, and optimize the API architecture for cross-platform application integration
