Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of trust, income, and lifestyle on fashion purchasing decisions using paylater among Accounting students at UPN “Veteran” East Java. The background of this research is based on the rapid development of financial technology and e-commerce, which has influenced consumer behavior, especially among students, including in making fashion purchases through paylater systems. This phenomenon highlights the importance of understanding the factors that affect consumers’ decisions in using paylater services. This research employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed via Google Forms, with a sample of 72 respondents selected through a random sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS to examine the relationships among variables. The results show that trust, income, and lifestyle have a positive and significant effect on fashion purchasing decisions through paylater services. These findings support the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which explains that consumer behavior is influenced by attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control.
