Abstract
The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the music industry, particularly on how musicians create and present their creations to the public. Music videos are no longer merely a complement to a song, but have become a primary visual medium, playing a crucial role in conveying a musician's emotions, messages, and artistic image. The design, titled "Video Design," is a project that aims to provide a visual representation of a musician's work.Stop motionThe cinematic for the music single 'Masih Ada Tempat Untuk Kembali' created by Ardi Bhaktiar was created as an effort to present the song's visualization through animation techniques.stop motionwith a cinematic approach, so that the meaning and emotions contained in the song can be conveyed more deeply to the audience. In the design process, several stages of methods were used, namely descriptive qualitative, interviews, data collection, questionnaires, literature studies, and visual experiments conducted in the pre-production, production, and post-production stages.stop motionThe Pixilation technique was chosen because it combines real and imaginary elements through human movement captured frame by frame. A cinematic approach was applied, focusing on visual elements such as color tones, soft lighting, and static camera composition to create a nostalgic and reflective atmosphere that aligns with the song's emotional message. The final result of this design is a 3-4 minute music video depicting themes of longing, family warmth, and the hope of reunion. This work is aimed at an audience aged 16-25, as well as pop music fans who relate emotionally to themes of self-reflection. It is hoped that the results of this design can contribute to the field of Visual Communication Design, especially in the development and exploration of animation techniques.stop motionas a creative visual expression medium that is relevant to the development of music videos in today's digital era. Keywords: stop motion, cinematic, music video, pixilation, visual communication design
