Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership style applied by the owner of Acapcop and to examine how such leadership style contributes to improving employee and craftsman performance as well as supporting the business sustainability of a local leather fashion brand in Sidoarjo. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants consisted of the owner of Acapcop, employees, and craftsmen. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles et al. (2020) through the stages of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, reinforced by source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that the leadership style of the owner of Acapcop is a hybrid leadership that organically integrates persuasive and transformational elements. The persuasive dimension is reflected in a two-way communication approach, a philosophy of humanizing people, and conflict resolution through constructive dialogue. The transformational dimension is reflected in a strong and inspiring long-term vision to make Acapcop an iconic local leather fashion brand on the international stage. This leadership style has proven to improve employee and craftsman performance through consistent productivity, high punctuality, and strong team loyalty. In turn, good performance contributes to business sustainability marked by expansion to more than seven countries, growth in offline sales, and recognition from national media and public figures.
