Abstract

Server security is a crucial aspect of information system management, especially when dealing with brute-force attacks that often target Secure Shell (SSH) services. To optimize monitoring of such attacks, Wazuh, an open-source security platform, can be utilized to detect threats in real time. In its implementation, Wazuh is configured to recognize suspicious login attempts and automatically send notifications to administrators. Testing shows that Wazuh is capable of effectively monitoring SSH login activity and identifying brute-force attack patterns with a high degree of accuracy. With features such as alerting, log analysis, and integration with other security systems, Wazuh serves as an efficient monitoring solution. The implementation results indicate that Wazuh is suitable for use as part of a server defense system because it provides efficient, real-time, and flexible monitoring without licensing costs.
