Abstract
PT Prima Raya Karya Perkasa has a delivery fleet in the form of trucks that cover the areas of Tulungagung, Ponorogo, Madura, and Solo. In the process of delivering melamine paint, there are obstacles in the form of defects found, including leaking gallons, namely melamine paint leaks more than 3% per paint and an amount of 1% of the total truck load; burst gallons, namely melamine paint is damaged in the form of an open gallon cap so that the paint contents come out more than 30% per paint and an amount of 2% of the total truck load; dented pails, namely melamine paint is damaged in the form of dents on the pail body; and broken bottles, namely melamine paint is damaged in the form of broken plastic bottles so that the paint contents come out more than 20% per paint if it breaks at the top, more than 70% per paint if it breaks at the bottom, and an amount of 2% of the total truck load. This study aims to determine the sigma level of melamine paint delivery defects using the lean six sigma method and proposed improvements that can be recommended with the RCA and AHP approaches to reduce defects in melamine paint delivery at PT Prima Raya Karya Perkasa. In the melamine paint delivery process, the average DPMO value was 20.848 with a sigma level of 3.54. The proposed improvements consist of three main action plans to reduce defects in melamine paint delivery at PT Prima Raya Karya Perkasa with the highest priority weight being broken bottles. The three action plans include adding plywood bases to the truck bed, stacking bottles according to size, and arranging paint based on the order of delivery carried out by PT Prima Raya Karya Perkasa.
