Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence, compensation, and work experience on employee performance at PT BPR Syariah Lantabur Tebuireng, both directly and through work motivation as a mediating variable. The population of this study consists of all 89 employees of PT BPR Syariah Lantabur Tebuireng, with the entire population taken as the sample using the census method, considering the relatively small and accessible number of employees. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach with the assistance of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results indicate that competence contributes to improving employee performance, compensation contributes to improving employee performance, and work experience also contributes to improving employee performance. Furthermore, compensation influences employee performance through work motivation, and competence influences employee performance through work motivation, while work experience does not significantly affect employee performance through work motivation. Keywords: competence, compensation, work experience, work motivation, employee performance
