Abstract

Tourism information services in Wonosobo Regency currently face notable usability limitations, as the existing platforms particularly the official website have not been developed through a structured UI/UX design process and lack responsiveness on mobile devices, which serve as the primary medium for travelers seeking information during their journeys. The interface remains insufficiently organized and does not effectively present essential information such as destination recommendations or crowd conditions, reducing clarity and ease of use. These shortcomings contribute to diminished user comfort and satisfaction, especially in the Dieng area, where uneven visitor distribution frequently leads to surges in tourist volume. To address these issues, this study develops the UI/UX design for the Zobo (Zona Wisata Wonosobo) mobile application using the User Centered Design (UCD) approach, incorporating stages of needs analysis, design development, and iterative evaluation involving real users. Usability testing measured effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction using the System Usability Scale (SUS), complemented by heuristic evaluation conducted by expert evaluators to assess interface consistency and overall quality. The final results demonstrate effectiveness above 90%, efficiency exceeding 85%, and SUS scores within the acceptable category, indicating that the proposed UI/UX design successfully meets user needs and provides a strong foundation for future enhancement of Wonosobo’s tourism information systems.
