Abstract
The East Java Provincial DPRD Secretariat is an institution that functions to support the smooth running of the duties and functions of the East Java Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD). The main task of this secretariat is to provide administrative, technical, and operational services to DPRD members. Along with the rapid growth of administrative services such as incoming letters in the work environment, the East Java Provincial DPRD Secretariat developed a Desktop Application to manage incoming letters to be archived more systematically and efficiently. This application makes it possible to help archive letters that will be needed in the future. Such as letter placement, letter search, letter allocation and letter label printing quickly, accurately, improving operational efficiency and decision making. In the Field Work Practice (PKL) program, students are given a project to develop a desktop-based archive management application for the East Java Provincial DPRD Secretariat. This project aims to assist operational performance in administrative services that are easy to manage, efficient, and systematic. The dynamic and innovative work environment at the East Java Provincial DPRD Secretariat supports the development of students' practical skills in information technology. The company's good reputation in providing guidance and valuable work experience is a strong reason to choose this place as a PKL location. The existence of an attractive, efficient and systematic Institutional Archives is important in managing administrative services within the East Java Provincial DPRD Secretariat. A well-designed desktop application can be a tool to provide information and streamline the work environment. In addition, these applications can also improve the institutional image of the East Java Provincial Parliament Secretariat. Desktop application development is an important skill in today's workforce, and this project provides students with the opportunity to hone their technical skills in desktop design, front-end development using Windows Form .NET, back-end using C# programming language, database using sql-lite, and project management. The Desktop-based archive management development project for the East Java Provincial DPRD Secretariat provides practical benefits and valuable experience, and is relevant to current industry needs, so it is a topic worthy of study in student PKL
