Abstract

The phenomenon of booking accommodation through Online Travel Agents (OTAs) represents a new legal relationship from developments in information technology. This practice involves an agreement between the consumer, the service booker, and the OTA as platform provider. This study examines legal protection for consumers against inaccurate information when booking accommodation through the Traveloka application, based on Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. The research method uses a normative juridical approach with legal and non-legal sources. The results indicate issues regarding information transparency, service certainty, and dispute mechanisms.
