Abstract

Shipping goods by expedition services with no carrier is an activity carried out with careful consideration regarding the rights and obligations of the parties. However, in terms of transportation activities, errors often occur that cause losses, resulting in frequent defaults. The author in this case wants to analyze liability for default in losses in shipping goods by expedition services using normative legal research methods and using conceptual and statutory approaches. This thesis research also involves an analysis of the principles of civil law by synchronizing them with the legal issues raised. Liability is important to strive for in order to restore the rights of the injured party, this is continuous with Article 1365 of the Civil Code, where the party who violates the law to the point of causing loss to another party is obliged to provide compensation.
