Abstract

In the modern era, public interest in investment has shown a significant upward trend, as reflected in the increasing variety of investment instruments available in the capital market. Success in investing is largely determined by an individual’s ability to make the right decisions, although these decisions are often influenced by psychological biases, especially among novice investors. One of the increasingly popular investment instruments is gold. Seeing this growing interest, various financial institutions have begun offering products that cater to market needs. In response, PT Pegadaian (Persero) launched a digital service called **Pegadaian Digital Service (PDS)**, designed to facilitate various transactions, including gold investment. This study aims to determine the influence of **trust perception** and **financial literacy**, with **interest** as a mediating variable, on **investment decisions** of customers at Pegadaian Mojosari Branch who invest in gold savings through the Pegadaian Digital Service (PDS) application. The research employs a **quantitative approach**, using **primary data** collected through questionnaires and **secondary data** obtained from institutions and websites. The variables were measured using a **Likert scale** ranging from 1 to 5. The population of this study consists of Pegadaian Mojosari Branch customers who invested in gold savings via the Pegadaian Digital Service (PDS) application during the period **2022–2024**. Samples were selected using a **purposive sampling** technique, resulting in **130 respondents**. The data analysis technique used is **Partial Least Squares (PLS) 3**, to examine the relationships among variables. The results of the study show that: (1) Trust perception contributes to investment decision-making, (2) Financial literacy contributes to investment decision-making, (3) Trust perception contributes to interest, (4) Financial literacy contributes to interest, (5) Interest contributes to investment decision-making, (6) Trust perception contributes to investment decision-making through interest, and (7) Financial literacy contributes to investment decision-making through interest. Keywords: Trust Perception, Financial Literacy, Interest, Investment Decision
