Abstract

Outsourced employees often face challenges in building organizational commitment due to their non-permanent employment status and lack of job security. This study aims to examine the effect of compensation and job insecurity on organizational commitment. In addition, job satisfaction is analyzed as a mediating variable in the relationship between these variables among outsourced security employees at PT Tatur Utama Sejati. This research applies a quantitative approach to obtain an objective empirical overview. Questionnaire data were distributed to 51 outsourced security employees selected as respondents. The data were then analyzed using the PLS-SEM method to explore the correlations between variables in the research model. The analysis process was carried out with the help of SmartPLS 3 software. The study found that compensation, especially work facilities, has a significant impact on organizational commitment. Conversely, job insecurity does not significantly affect commitment, as employees are already accustomed to uncertain working conditions and remain comfortable with the existing work culture. It was proven that employee satisfaction correlates with organizational commitment, but this does not apply to job insecurity. This finding emphasizes that outsourcing companies should focus on providing fair compensation and a supportive work environment to maintain employee commitment.
