Abstract
The loss of shipments or packages belonging to users of PT. JNE expedition services certainly causes losses to service users or consumers which is the result of PT.JNE's actions as a service provider who does not carry out its responsibilities, which cannot deliver shipments or packages safely and neatly to the recipient's hands. This study aims to analyze the legal protection for users of PT. JNE services for the loss of delivery goods and the efforts they can make. The research method used is empirical juridical and uses a socio-legal approach, data obtained through interviews, and also literature studies. The results of this study indicate that service users or consumers feel that their rights have not been fulfilled even though there are laws and regulations in force, in other words PT. JNE as a service provider has violated the provisions in the consumer protection law which is also included in the act of default because it cannot fulfill its obligations. Service users of PT. JNE can seek this through non-litigation channels which are through BPSK. However, if this is deemed insufficient, PT. JNE service users can go through litigation efforts, namely by filing a lawsuit with the authorized court. In this case, not only legal protection is needed but also supervision and law enforcement need to be improved so that fraudulent companies or business actors can be minimized and also get a deterrent effect.
