Abstract

Digital transformation has been fueled by technological developments in a number of industries, including the costume rental industry. The goal of this research is to create a website-based information system for Ghaniart Costume's costume rental and creation ordering procedures in order to increase productivity and service quality, as the company still uses manual procedures for stock recording, ordering, and customer communication. The system is developed iteratively using the Prototype Method. The owner was interviewed in order to gather data. Use case, activity, and sequence diagrams were created as part of the system modeling process, and Black Box testing was used to test the system's operation. A website system prototype was created as a result of this research, and it has the following features: (1) online costume catalog and ordering for customers; (2) stock management for costumes and orders for administrators; (3) a feature for ordering costumes; (4) integration of the payment process; (5) a page for customers to view the status of their orders; and (6) financial reports for administrators. Continuous iteration and feedback processes have demonstrated the effectiveness of the Prototype Method's use. By automating crucial procedures, the information system can enhance customer satisfaction, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. Black box testing for functionality testing revealed that every feature operated as intended, guaranteeing data accuracy and seamless operation.
