Abstract
ANALYSIS OF JOB SATISFACTION AND WORK-LIFE BALANCE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE THROUGH ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR AT THE SECRETARIAT OF THE GENERAL ELECTION COMMISSION OF EAST JAVA PROVINCE ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the influence of job satisfaction, work-life balance, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on employee performance at the Secretariat of the General Election Commission (KPU) of East Java Province. Specifically, the study examines five aspects: (1) the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance; (2) the effect of worklife balance on employee performance; (3) the effect of OCB on employee performance; (4) the mediating role of OCB in the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance; and (5) the mediating role of OCB in the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. The research population consists of all civil servants within the KPU Secretariat throughout East Java, totaling 482 employees. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 82 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. The findings indicate that both job satisfaction and work-life balance have a significant and positive effect on employee performance. Additionally, OCB also has a significant and positive impact on performance. Furthermore, the results reveal that OCB significantly mediates the relationship between job satisfaction and performance, as well as between work-life balance and performance. Therefore, enhancing employee performance can be achieved through fostering job satisfaction and work-life balance that encourage proactive and voluntary work behavior. Keywords: job satisfaction, work-life balance, organizational citizenship behavior, employee performance.
