Abstract

CV. Bukit Zaitun is a distributor of food and beverages that still records transactions manually using a ledger, which often leads to errors in recording, data loss, and delays in report preparation. Based on sales data, the company markets around 800 products with an average daily sales volume of 300–400 items or approximately 2.800 items per week, indicating that the high level of transaction activity requires a more structured management system. This thesis aims to design and develop a web-based sales and purchasing information system using the Laravel Framework. The system development method applied is the Waterfall model, which consists of the stages of communication, planning, design, development, testing, and implementation. The system was tested using Black Box Testing, Usability Testing, Security Testing, and Compatibility Testing. The results show that all functionalities operate as required, the system is user-friendly, secure, and can run across various devices and browsers, with the outcome being a web-based information system that provides features for user registration, product management, supplier purchasing, ordering, checkout, proof of payment upload, admin verification, and sales and purchase reporting.
