Abstract
Occupational safety is a crucial aspect of the manufacturing industry, which is characterized by a high level of accident risk. Proper training and adequate work experience are two essential factors in minimizing workplace accidents. This study aims to examine the influence of training and work experience on the occupational safety of employees in the factory division of PT. Surya Multi Indopack. The research employs a quantitative method with a survey approach, utilizing questionnaires distributed to 62 respondents consisting of employees in the production, engineering, and color matching departments with a tenure of 0–5 years. The sampling technique applied was purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that training has a positive and significant effect on occupational safety, and work experience also has a proven positive and significant effect on occupational safety. These results emphasize the importance of relevant training and the accumulation of work experience in creating a safe working environment with minimal accident risks.
