Abstract
The increase in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that has occurred globally, including in Indonesia, in recent years has resulted in various environmental damages. The majority of greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia come from the use of fossil fuel-based motorcycles, the number of which continues to increase. The Indonesian government has responded to this issue by implementing a transition strategy to electric motorcycles through the provision of purchase subsidies to encourage public interest in electric motorcycles. One of the factors influencing individual interest in environmentally friendly products such as electric motorcycles is the individual's environmental concerns. The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the influence of government subsidy policies and environmental concerns on the interest in purchasing electric motorcycles in the city of Surabaya. This research adopts a quantitative approach with a population of residents in the city of Surabaya. The sample size in this study is 110 respondents, with the sample determined using purposive sampling. Data analysis employs SEM-PLS using Smart PLS version 4. Based on the data analysis conducted, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) Government subsidy policy has a positive influence on the purchase interest in electric motorcycles in the city of Surabaya. (2) Environmental concerns have a positive influence on the purchase interest in electric motorcycles in the city of Surabaya.
