Abstract
The growth in the number of micro businesses in Sidoarjo Regency is a positive phenomenon due to the increasing initiative of the community in establishing independent businesses. However, this growth must be balanced with the active role of the government through programs or policies to develop the capacity of micro business actors. The Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia promulgated Regulation No. 18 of 2015, which establishes guidelines for education and training for cooperative human resources, micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs. In alignment with this objective, the Cooperative and Micro Business Agency has instituted a digital marketing training program. Nevertheless, micro-business operators continue to encounter obstacles, including a paucity of understanding regarding digital technology. Consequently, it is imperative to assess the extent to which the training provided can influence micro businesses in enhancing their productivity and capabilities. The objective of this study is to ascertain the substantial disparities in the repercussions of micro business development training in Sidoarjo Regency. The present study employs a quantitative methodology, utilizing a comparative study approach through a one group pre-test post-test design. The data collection techniques employed in this study entailed the administration of a questionnaire to 100 respondents, who were meticulously selected through a simple random sampling method. The paired t-test is a statistical technique that is employed in data analysis, and it is implemented by the SPSS Version 30 data analysis tool. The findings of the study reveal a substantial discrepancy in the repercussions of micro-business development training in Sidoarjo Regency, as evidenced by the statistical analysis (t(99) = -17.606, p < 0.001). This finding suggests that there is a substantial discrepancy in business development between the pre- and post-participation in the digital marketing training program in Sidoarjo Regency.
