Abstract
The development of social media had created a new space for the public to express opinions openly, rapidly, and broadly. In February 2025, #KaburAjaDulu became a trending topic on the social media platform X due to the widespread use of the hashtag as a form of digital protest. This hashtag represented the aspirations of a number of Indonesian citizens to leave the country in search of better life opportunities abroad. This study aimed to explore the dynamics of digital opinion movements formed around #KaburAjaDulu on the social media platform Twitter (X). The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a positivist paradigm. Data were collected through data mining techniques using NodeXL software to retrieve conversation data from X during the period of February 8–25, 2025. Based on the results of the communication network analysis on the hashtag #KaburAjaDulu, it was found that the digital conversation network exhibited the characteristics of a Digital Movement of Opinion (DMO), which was spontaneous and not organized by any specific group, had a short or temporary duration, displayed homogeneous opinions among social media users, and involved broad participation across sectors. The three levels of network analysis conducted, network, group, and actor analysis, indicated that #KaburAjaDulu was a manifestation of a digital opinion movement that emerged organically, was unstructured, and reactive to national situations.
