Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) at the Dinanti Batik MSME in Tuban Regency as an effort to enhance competitiveness in the local batik market. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation involving the owner, employees, and customers. The analytical tools used are the strategy canvas and the four actions framework (eliminate, reduce, raise, and create). The results show that Dinanti Batik has gained competitive advantage through collaborative activities such as batik workshops, the creation of contemporary motifs with diverse product variations, and strengthened digital promotion. Through the four actions framework, Dinanti Batik (1.) eliminated irrelevant products such as mass-produced batik dresses and ineffective collaborations; (2.) reduced freelance recruitment and pre-order inaccuracy; (3.) raised digital promotion, store convenience, and product variety; and (4.) created new value through bamboo-stamped batik, online catalogs, customer loyalty programs, and batik workshops. BOS proved effective in generating new market space and enhancing Dinanti Batik’s competitiveness. Keywords: Blue Ocean Strategy, Batik MSMEs, Competitiveness, Innovation Strategy
