Abstract
The construction sector is one of the industries with a high risk of workplace accidents, which can negatively impact worker health and project productivity. The high rate of workplace accidents in this sector makes the implementation of an effective Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) system essential for reducing these risks. This study aims to identify the OHS factors that have the most significant influence on worker performance in the context of construction projects. The methodology used in this study involves data collection through a questionnaire designed to evaluate various aspects of OHS and worker performance using a Likert scale. Data was collected from 50 respondents involved in five multi-story building construction projects in Surabaya. The data was gathered through questionnaires directed at contractors, with respondents including project managers, site managers, site engineers, quality control personnel, quantity surveyors, supervisors, logistics staff, and others. The analysis results indicate that health factors have a more significant impact on worker performance compared to safety factors. These findings emphasize the importance for companies to enhance their OHS programs, not only to protect workers but also to improve productivity and the overall success of construction projects.
