Abstract
This study aims to analyze and examine the effect of job enlargement and emotional exhaustion on job satisfaction among firefighters in Sidoarjo Regency. A quantitative approach was employed in this research. The study involved 42 active firefighters in Sidoarjo Regency as the research sample. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach, utilizing the SmartPLS 3.0 software. The data used in this study were primary data obtained through questionnaires distributed to the respondents. The analysis results indicate that job enlargement has a significant negative effect on job satisfaction, particularly in high-risk professions such as firefighting. Furthermore, emotional exhaustion experienced by the firefighters due to the demanding nature of their work also contributes to a decrease in their job satisfaction.
