Abstract

PThis study explores the influence of financial technology, financial literacy, investment knowledge, and investment motivation on investment decisions among undergraduate accounting students at public universities in Surabaya. With the growing presence of financial technology in everyday life, understanding the factors that drive student investment behavior has become increasingly important. The uniqueness of this research lies in its integration of psychological and cognitive factors within a predictive and explanatory framework. A quantitative approach was applied, using survey data analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The findings indicate that financial literacy, investment knowledge, and investment motivation significantly and positively affect investment decisions, whereas financial technology does not show a significant impact. These results highlight the importance of strengthening students' financial and digital competencies to support more informed and confident investment behavior.
